With many ferries to Spain departing from Plymouth, there are plenty of opportunities for passengers to make the most of the city before their crossing.
Wild About Plymouth is taking place at Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery over the coming months, where kids can learn more about the natural world.
All the sessions are run by experts from the museum, alongside Plymouth City Council's Nature Conservation Team, the University of Plymouth and other selected partners.
One of the events is to take place on March 17th 2012, entitled Life's Diversity, which allows visitors to learn more about our planet through a number of interactive activities.
The following month on April 13th is another free session called the Bottom of the Food Chain.
Visitors will be taken behind the scenes of the Sir Alistair Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science, where they can explore miniscule life forms essential to the food chain.
