Get immersed in Irish culture on Dublin ferry trips | | | | 06 November 2009 | Irish music lovers will be able to hop on ferries to Dublin in the New year to revel in the 2010 Temple Bar TradFest.
While the buzzing Temple Bar district offers traditional Irish music on a year-round basis, making it one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Irish capital, the month-long festival is widely regarded as a cultural highlight of the year.
As always, some of the best up-and-coming talent will be joining seasoned professionals in playing concerts, both in the open-air and in venues such as the Button Factory, the Project Arts Centre and the Ark.
In addition to daily performances, the month-long festival will also see visitors to Dublin given the opportunity to take part in Irish culture workshops and enjoy films and other events, most of which will be free of charge and family-oriented.
Meanwhile, tourists taking ferries to Dublin over the coming days will be able to enjoy the Temple Bar Chocolate Festival, with local artists joining chocolate-makers in showcasing their work at venues around the historic quarter.
