Get into festive spirit on an Amsterdam ferry break

Summer may only just be over, but many people's thoughts will soon start turning to Christmas and the long list of presents they need to buy.

In recognition of this, DFDS Seaways is offering shoppers the chance to travel to Hamelin's Christmas market.

On November 27th and December 11th and 15th, DFDS Seaways will provide ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam.

Whether on a shopping expedition or a romantic getaway, travellers can fill themselves with the festive spirit with a drink and meal as soon as they step on board, before retiring to their cabin for the night.

Arriving in Amsterdam in the morning, visitors will be taken to Hamelin by coach and given two full days to explore the market and surrounding area.

Guests will be put up at a four-star hotel for two nights before being transported back to the ferry for the journey home.

DFDS Seaways also offers Christmas market breaks to Cologne, Bruges and Brussels.
