Amsterdam ferry breaks could provide the ideal getaway for photography enthusiasts over the coming months as the city hosts a major exhibition.
Alexander Rodchenko - Revolution in Photography will be launched at the Photography Museum on December 18th.
People interested in seeing the show can take ferries to Amsterdam from Newcastle with
DFDS Seaways.
Rodchenko was an avant-garde artist, sculptor and photographer who made major contributions to Russian design and the country's constructivist movement.
The Amsterdam exhibition features more than 200 images captured by Rodchenko, many of which have never been displayed in a western country before.
Visitors will be able to trace the development of the artist's work through the show and see the various forms that he explored, from witty photomontage and architectural studies to documentary pieces and portraits.
The exhibition will run until March 17th next year.
People interested in visiting Holland can also use P&O Ferries' Hull to Rotterdam ferry route or take ferries to Hook of Holland from Harwich with
Stena Line.
