Dublin ferry breaks could prove popular with people who have a passion for stage entertainment later this year as the city hosts a major festival dedicated to the theatre.
The Irish capital's largest and most respected venues will take part in the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival, which will run from September 24th to October 11th.
Ferries to Dublin are available from Holyhead with
Stena Line and
Irish Ferries, while
Norfolkline Irish Sea and P&O Ferries both offer regular services on the Liverpool to Dublin ferry route.
Those who visit the city during the festival will be able to see shows including the vibrant and dynamic Manganiyar Seduction, which will be coming direct from the deserts of Rajasthan to the Gaiety Theatre from September 24th to 27th.
Daphne du Maurier's short story The Birds will be the subject of a theatrical adaptation at the Gate Theatre from September 24th to October 10th, while the physical stage show To Be Straight With You will come to the O'Reilly Theatre from September 30th to October 3rd.
As well as catching direct ferries to Dublin, travellers can reach Ireland on the Pembroke to Rosslare ferry route served by
Irish Ferries or by taking ferries to Dun Laoghaire from Holyhead with
Stena Line.
