Get into video art in Bilbao

Ferries to Spain could prove popular with modern art enthusiasts this year as the Guggenheim Bilbao hosts a special exhibition.

Travellers can catch direct ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao with P&O Ferries or alternatively sail to Santander in northern Spain with Brittany Ferries.

The exhibition that people will be travelling to see at the Guggenheim Bilbao features a number of installations that represent the themes and styles being explored by contemporary video artists.

Visitors will be able to learn about how the field of video art has expanded and developed since it was first used in the late 1960s.

All of the pieces on show in the exhibition have been acquired by the Guggenheim Bilbao in the last five years.

People who choose to catch ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao to visit Spain will sail on the P&O Ferries ship Pride of Bilbao, which boasts several restaurants, a cabaret bar, a casino and other facilities.
