Golfers given more reasons to visit Brittany | | | | 01 August 2008 | Those people who enjoy nothing more than a round of golf have been given extra reasons to take a ferry trip to Brittany, with a number of special offers and promotions having been launched.
The Brittany tourist board announced that in 2008-09 the free Bretagne Golf Pass will offer discounts of 20 per cent at 22 different courses and 15 per cent at Dinard and Rennes Saint Jacques.
Visitors hoping to introduce their youngsters to golf will be able to do so at Golf de la Freslonniere, which recently opened a new area designed for use by four- to six-year-olds.
Students can also take advantage of one-day access to the beginners' course for just 6 (£4.70) on presentation of their student card.
Brittany boasts a total of 34 golf courses, including the only course in Europe, at Belle-Isle-en-Mer, with a hole that is surrounded by the sea.
Ferry crossings to the port of St Malo are available from Portsmouth, Jersey and Guernsey, while Roscoff is accessible from Plymouth. |
