People planning to catch ferries to Guernsey for their summer holidays this year can experience what is described by the island's tourist board as the "floral wow factor".
Flower displays, show gardens and outdoor exhibitions will be opened across Guernsey over the coming months, including the Bridget Ozanne orchid fields in Les Vicheries, which boast four varieties of wild orchid in May.
At Candie Gardens, which was once part of a private estate, visitors can see a rare example of a type of public flower garden that was popular in the late 19th century.
Another notable attraction is Saumarez gardens and nature park, which Visit Guernsey describes as "jaw-droppingly dramatic", boasting exotic plants, banana trees, magnolias, camellias and more.
Located just 20 minutes by boat from St Peter Port is Herm island, which is essentially a large, car-free garden that provides a home to almost 20,000 flowering plants in the summer and 25,000 trees.
Travellers can catch ferries to Guernsey from Portsmouth, Weymouth and Poole with
Condor Ferries.
Other ferry crossings link Guernsey to its fellow Channel island of Jersey and the French port of St Malo.
