An art exhibition at Spain's Guggenheim Museum could inspire people to book
ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao.
Entitled The Inverted Mirror, the display combines collections from la Caixa Foundation and MACBA outside of their respective home venues for the very first time.
It opened at the end of January and will run until September 2nd, with visitors invited to enjoy works by the likes of Rafael Canogar, Antonio Saura, Antoni Tapies, Julian Schnabel and Michelangelo Pistoletto.
The exhibition is designed to offer a history of art from the late 1940s to the present day, with the works grouped into six thematic sections.
Its title was derived from Mirror Architecture, the 1990 work by Italian painter Michelangelo Pistoletto.
People heading to the exhibition will have a chance to explore one of Spain's most celebrated cultural attractions.
Opened in 1997, the Guggenheim has been credited with transforming the fortunes of Bilbao and has won plaudits for the limestone, glass, and titanium building designed by Frank Gehry.
