There will be plenty of entertainment on offer to families taking Isle of Wight ferry breaks during the October half-term period as the island celebrates Halloween.
Isle of Wight Steam Railway will be getting into the spirit of the occasion with a number of events due to take place at Havenstreet Station between October 25th and 30th, also known as Wizard Week.
Families planning a half-term getaway can reach the Isle of Wight by taking ferries to Yarmouth from Lymington with
Wightlink or travelling on the Southsea to Ryde route served by
Hovertravel.
Wizard Week on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway will include magic shows, a woodland walk, bat displays and rides on the train.
Visitors will be encouraged to dress up in weird and wonderful attire to take part in the festivities, with prizes being given out every day for the best costumes.
The railway runs five miles from Smallbrook Junction through Ashey and Havenstreet to Wootton, providing access to popular tourist destinations including Ryde and Shanklin.
In addition to its Yarmouth ferry service,
Wightlink provides ferries to Fishbourne and Ryde on the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth.
