Families taking Dublin ferry breaks this Christmas should have no trouble finding entertainment as the city hosts the Dublin on Ice festival.
The event will see a giant ice rink set up in the Smithfield area of the Irish capital from November 20th until January 10th.
People interested in experiencing the attraction can take ferries to Dublin from Liverpool with P&O Ferries and
Norfolkline Irish Sea.
Over 80,000 people go skating at Dublin on Ice every year, testing out their balance on a rink that covers an area of 1,000 square metres and also features facilities to play ice hockey.
Other highlights of the annual event include a big wheel, several children's attractions and a traditional Christmas market.
People planning to get into the festive spirit during Dublin ferry breaks this year can also pay a visit to the Docklands area from December 10th to 23rd for the 12 Days of Christmas market.
Irish Ferries and
Stena Line both provide access to the capital city via the Holyhead to Dublin ferry route.
Stena Line also operates ferries to Dun Laoghaire.
