Parents will be able to treat their children to some memorable half-term entertainment this year by catching ferries to Belfast and heading to one of the city's major annual events.
The Belfast Children's Festival will celebrate its 12th birthday this year when it is held from May 22nd to 31st.
Visitors will be treated to music, theatre, art and a range of other activities at venues across Northern Ireland's capital.
Highlights will include an exhibition of art by children aged 12 or younger and a continental market that will be held at Belfast City Hall on the weekend of May 23rd to 26th.
Travellers planning Belfast ferry trips later in the year may get the opportunity to visit a carnival on June 27th that will feature street performances, live music concerts and a procession of floats in the city centre.
Ferries from Liverpool to Belfast are provided by Norfolkline Irish Sea, while Stena Line operates a Stranraer to Belfast ferry service and the Steam Packet Company sails to Northern Ireland from the Isle of Man.
