Brittany's La Pomme d'Orange festival will get underway soon, offering visitors a memorable experience of one of the region's most popular seasonal traditions.
People planning ferry trips to Brittany who would like to visit the festival should head to the town of Peillac between December 1st and January 6th.
The main focus of La Pomme d'Orange is on children and storytelling, with fairy stories and Christmas tales read and performed in the street to an accompaniment of local music.
One of the highlights of the festival is the creation of a giant almond tart by the town's bakers, which is baked with small figurines called 'feves' inside.
Anyone who finds a 'feve' in their tart is crowned king or queen of their family and given the right to wear a paper crown for a day.
