Holidaymakers hoping to soak up the party atmosphere on St Patrick's Day should head to the Irish city of Cork for a three-day extravaganza this month.
Taking place between Saturday 16th and Monday 18th March, the Cork St Patrick's Festival 2013 will bring together street performances, parades and a whole host of free family friendly events.
As well as celebrating in the many bars and pubs available in Cork, festival-goers will get the chance to sample some of the city's wonderful delicacies from the artisan producers setting up stalls in the centre of town.
There will be opportunities galore to purchase locally crafted souvenirs of your trip to Ireland.
Last year the St Patrick's Day Parade attracted some 50,000 people and this year it will take place at 1pm on the Sunday led by the Lord Mayor of San Francisco as the Festival Grand Master.
The theme of the 2013 parade is 'The Gathering: Hands Across The Water' and will encourage those around the world who come from Cork to return to their roots.
A number of ferry lines operate sailings between Cork and UK ports, including Irish Ferries
