Head to the Isle of Man for a firework spectacular | | | | 29 September 2008 | People looking for a way to celebrate Fireworks Night this year should consider catching ferries to the Isle of Man for a major event at Mooragh Park.
The Ramsey Firework Spectacular will be held on November 5th, with a dazzling pyrotechnic display being launched on the Mooragh Lake island at around 19:30.
Visitors, who are advised not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers, will be able to enjoy good views from the lakeside centre and also pick up food and drinks at the park cafe.
People who are on the Isle of Man at the beginning of November may also be able to catch a stand-up show by top comedian Dara O'Briain in Douglas, the island's capital city.
The comic, who many people will recognise as the host of comedy quiz show Mock the Week and a regular panel member on QI, will perform at the Royal Hall in Villa Marina on November 6th.
Ferries to the Isle of Man are provided by the Steam Packet Company from Heysham, Liverpool, Belfast and Dublin. |
