Head to the theatre with Hovertravel this winter

Hovertravel is encouraging people to take some time out from the mad Christmas rush and enjoy a pantomime this winter.

One of its recommendations is the Kings Theatre Spectacular Pantomime in Southsea, which features some of the country's best loved soap stars.

Among those taking to the stage are Tracy Shaw who played Maxine Peacock in Coronation Street and Leah Bracknell, otherwise known as Emmerdale's Zoe Tate.

Anyone who is heading to the capital for a spot of Christmas shopping is advised to take in a show at the same time, especially with a host of top performances currently on offer.

Suggestions include Shrek the Musical, which is sure to be hit with the kids, while Jersey Boys will get adults' feet tapping.

Hovertravel makes regular crossings between Southsea and Ryde, which operate around 36 times per day and only take around ten minutes to complete.
