Hop on a ferry to Finland for annual jazz festival
Music lovers ken to enjoy some cool this summer should take a Stockholm to Helsinki ferry and enjoy the annual Viapori Jazz Festival.

Forming part of the Helsinki Festival, which sees the Finnish capital host a variety of concerts, performances and plays over the course of the summer, this special event attracts jazz lovers from around the world, as well as some of the biggest names in the genre.

This year's festival looks to be no exception, with music fans set to be treated to the best in modern jazz at a series of concerts in the historic Suomenlinna sea fortress just outside of the centre of Helsinki between August 26th and August 29th.

The Helsinki Festival itself is due to continue until the end of August, with a number of the city's most popular museums and galleries open late into the night, while visitors will also be able to enjoy open-air concerts showcasing the best of Finland's traditional song and dance.

Earlier this month, hundreds of music fans took cheap ferries to Finland to enjoy the Flow Festival, also in Helsinki, which saw Sunday night headliner Lily Allen crying and admitting to being a "bit emotional" during her Scandinavian performance.
