Travellers taking ferries to France this year will have the opportunity to discover what the country's national tourist board describes as the "real Brittany".
The French Government Tourist Office revealed that some of the region's unique attractions and destinations are being showcased in a cinema advertising campaign.
Due to run across the UK until the end of July, the promotion features a 30-second trailer showing pristine golden beaches, scenic countryside, local festivals and other highlights.
People planning to visit the destination can travel with
Brittany Ferries, which sails from Plymouth to Roscoff and also offers
ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo, Cherbourg and Caen.
As part of its ongoing promotion of the region, the French Government Tourist Office has also highlighted the launch of the new Brittany Tourism website.
Before embarking on their trip, holidaymakers can visit the site to find out more about the experiences and activities on offer in north-west France and learn about the area's history and culture.
Other cross channel travel options include
LD Lines'
ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre and the
Condor Ferries service from Portsmouth to Cherbourg.
