Cheap ferries to Belgium could prove a tempting option for chocolate lovers later this year as the city of Bruges plays host to the Choco-Late Festival.
This event will come to the Oud Sint-Jan centre in Bruges from May 1st to 4th to celebrate chocolate in a country that is famous around the world for its particular variety of the tasty treat.
Visitors will be treated to all sorts of chocolate-themed events, including demonstrations, presentations and of course plenty of tasting sessions.
There will also be a walking route set up to visit some of Bruges' most famous chocolatiers, as well as events looking at some of the alternative uses of cocoa in beauty therapy and skin treatment.
During their visit to the Belgian destination, visitors will have the chance to try the Bruges swan, which has been designated as the official representative chocolate of the city.
Travellers will be able to catch cheap ferries to Belgium this year with
TransEuropa Ferries, which sails from Ramsgate to Ostend, or with P&O Ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge.
Norfolkline plans to launch its new service from Rosyth in Scotland to Zeebrugge on May 18th.
