Hound of the Baskervilles staged in Brading

Hound of the Baskervilles staged in Brading
14 August 2008
The Isle of Wight boasts striking natural scenery
The Isle of Wight will this month host an outdoor production of one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's best-loved mysteries.

Holidaymakers who take ferry crossings to the Isle of Wight will be able to see The Hound of the Baskervilles at Brading Roman Villa on August 28th.

The show will be presented by award-winning outdoor theatre specialists Illyria, a company with over 17 years' experience.

Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr Watson take on one of their most puzzling and dangerous cases in The Hound of the Baskervilles, in which a series of deaths are surrounded by tales of a family curse.

Theatre fans planning to attend the show are advised to bring a rug or low-backed seating to ensure they can enjoy it in comfort.

Ferry crossings to the Isle of Wight are provided by Red Funnel and Wight Link from Lymington, Southampton and Portsmouth.
