Customers travelling on
Hovertravel services in the snow have been made aware of the company's strategy for dealing with such conditions.
It has pledged to do all it can to carry out services in even the most inclement weather, providing the safety of staff and passengers can be ensured.
To keep services running, Hovertravel will ensure that all terminals are completely safe by clearing all steps, paths and walkways.
Pads should also be cleared of snow so customers are able to walk safely on to the vessel.
Passengers are asked to be aware that embarkation and disembarkation may take longer than usual, as they will be required to take extra care when climbing the steps.
If snow is falling as passengers are moving to and from the vessel, then Hovertravel umbrellas will be used to shelter customers.
Staff will also be on hand to offer extra assistance to those who may need it, such as children or the elderly.
