Hovertravel services are now operating again after its entire fleet of hovercraft underwent a safety assessment.
Services to Ryde, the Isle of Wight, Southsea and Portsmouth are back up and running following the inspections carried out in line with Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) regulations.
Operations were temporarily suspended on November 18th following a problem with the propeller on the fleet's largest vessel.
However, both the company and itself and the MCA have now carried out the necessary inspections on all hovercraft and are confident that they can continue to operate safely.
Managing director Neil Chapman commented: "There was no question of us operating until both the company and our regulatory authority, the MCA, were completely satisfied with our safety compliance."
He added that the firm is now looking forward to what it does best in providing a fast and efficient service for those travelling from the mainland UK to the Isle of Wight.
