Driving holidays in France will remain the "best way to go this year" for holidaymakers looking for a cheap and enjoyable break, according to
Irish Ferries.
The ferry company predicted that France will remain the first choice motoring holiday destination for its customers despite the current economic problems.
One of the "beauties of France" as a holiday destination, according to
Irish Ferries, is the eclectic range of sights and experiences it offers.
Travellers can relax in the countryside of Normandy or Brittany, visit beaches and swim in the Mediterranean or explore bustling cities such as Paris and Nice.
Irish Ferries offers services to the French destinations of Roscoff and Cherbourg on the new Oscar Wilde ferry, which boasts a restaurant, brasserie, entertainment lounge, two cinemas and many other facilities.
In response to the financial needs of holidaymakers this year, the company said that it will be offering a "competitive fares package" on travel to France, with no fuel surcharges and no restrictions on the amount of baggage that can be carried.
