Irish Ferries will continue to offer a summer sailing schedule on its Holyhead to Dublin ferry route over the coming months, it has been announced.
The summer timetable will continue to be available throughout the autumn and into 2010.
Travellers will therefore be able to sail twice a day on the Dublin Swift fast ferry from Holyhead, which offers a crossing time of one hour and 49 minutes in each direction.
Irish Ferries confirmed that the extended summer schedule will operate alongside the twice-daily sailings of the Ulysses vessel, meaning customers can choose from four round-trip services on the Holyhead to Dublin ferry route every day.
To promote the enhanced autumn and winter timetable, the operator announced that it will be offering special fares that are up to 20 per cent cheaper than published prices.
Travellers can also use the Pembroke to Rosslare ferry service provided by
Irish Ferries to reach Ireland or catch ferries to Dublin or Dun Laoghaire from Holyhead with
Stena Line.
