Irish Ferries has encouraged travellers considering a Christmas break this year to visit Dublin and take advantage of the shopping opportunities on offer in the city.
The capital is home to a number of retail hotspots where shoppers can pick up some unique gifts and souvenirs and also hosts annual events that will help visitors get into the festive spirit.
Irish Ferries provides easy access to the destination with its regular
ferries from Holyhead to Dublin.
People planning a trip to Ireland also have the option of taking
ferries from Pembroke to Rosslare.
A festive break in Dublin would not be complete without a visit to the European Christmas market in the Docklands, which will run from December 3rd to 22nd this year.
Visitors will be able to buy all sorts of seasonal food and drink to take home with them, as well as decorations, toys, clothing and more.
Irish Ferries also encouraged travellers to check out Smithfield Market, which hosts street theatre and opens an ice rink every Christmas.
Stena Line provides ferries from Holyhead to Dublin for people planning to travel from Wales, while both
P&O and
Norfolkline/
DFDS Seaways operate
ferries from Liverpool to Dublin.
