Irish Ferries offering wine discounts for France visitors | | | | 04 February 2010 | People travelling to France with Irish Ferries this year will be able to take advantage of some discounts on wine.
A series of price reductions have been agreed for all passengers making purchases at the Normandie Wine Warehouse in Cherbourg and the Wine Beer Supermarket in Roscoff.
The company operates ferries to Cherbourg and Roscoff from Rosslare in south-east Ireland.
Passengers simply have to show their booking confirmation to take advantage of the discounts.
The amount taken off the ordinary price could be as much as 12.5 per cent, depending on the outlet and the volume of wine being purchased.
Irish Ferries uses the Oscar Wilde vessel to operate its Rosslare and Cherbourg ferry services.
It describes the ferry as "the most luxurious ship to sail between France and Rosslare".
The company's other services include the Holyhead to Dublin ferry link, which offers a crossing time of less than two hours for people travelling between Ireland and the British mainland.
