Irish Ferries has claimed that its Rosslare to Pembroke ferry route represents one of the most convenient ways for motorists in Cork and south-west Ireland to reach Britain.
The company offers two return sailings every day between Rosslare and Pembroke.
One of the main advantages of the service is its speed, according to Irish Ferries, with each crossing taking only four hours.
The route is operated by the Isle of Inishmore cruise ferry, which boasts onboard amenities including a number of restaurants, lounge bars, a cinema and retail outlets.
Travellers are also expected to benefit from the opening of the new Waterford bypass bridge and motorway, which means that "travel to the UK via Rosslare has never been more comfortable or convenient", the company said.
For people heading in the other direction, Irish Ferries offers crossings on the Holyhead to Dublin ferry route, which is also served by
Stena Line.
Those travelling from Ireland to France can take ferries from Rosslare to Roscoff or Cherbourg.
