Irish Ferries promotes half-term breaks in Ireland

Irish Ferries promotes half-term breaks in Ireland
Irish Ferries has encouraged people considering half-term breaks in October to catch ferries to Ireland to see what the country has to offer.

Destinations that holidaymakers can visit in Ireland include Waterford, which boasts attractions such as the Splashworld leisure centre complex and wide, sandy beaches.

Irish Ferries provides access to south-east Ireland with its Pembroke to Rosslare ferry route, with two daily departures from the Welsh port at 02:45 and 14:30.

The company recommended a visit to the traditional Irish town of Bunclody in County Wexford, which is 45 minutes' drive from Rosslare and home to Ferns Castle, a national heritage park, Altamount Gardens and other attractions.

Travellers can also reach Ireland by catching ferries to Dublin from Holyhead, which are provided by both Irish Ferries and Stena Line.

The Irish capital will host a number of events during the half-term period, including the Temple Bar Chocolate Festival from October 30th to November 1st and the Dublin Marathon on October 26th.
