Irish Ferries has announced that it will tailor its schedule next month to provide a dedicated service for football fans planning to take ferries to France to see a World Cup qualifying match.
The Republic of Ireland will play France in a two-leg play-off to decide which team will compete in the World Cup in South Africa next year.
Football fans will be able to take ferries to Dublin to see the first leg at Croke Park on November 14th before the deciding game is played at the Stade de France in Paris on November 18th.
Irish Ferries announced that it will operate a new sailing on the Oscar Wilde vessel serving the Rosslare to Cherbourg ferry route, with a departure from the Irish port at 14:00 on November 17th that will arrive in France at 10:00 the next morning.
The return crossing will leave Cherbourg at 21:30 on November 19th and arrive in Rosslare at 15:30 the following day.
Irish football fans also have the option of taking ferries to Cherbourg from Rosslare with Celtic Link.
