Irish Ferries has come out in support of the Spraoi Carnival which is to be held in Waterford next month.
The carnival is an arts festival which is held in the south-eastern Irish city every year during the August bank holiday weekend.
For three days, the city centre is transformed with events, children's activities, street art, musical performances and more.
According to its organisers, arts group Spraoi, the festival is an "annual riot of colour, energy and excitement".
Interested individuals should book a
Pembroke to Rosslare ferry, as the latter is the closest passenger port to Waterford.
Irish Ferries is supporting the carnival by acting as a means of transport for performers and visitors for the 12th year running.
"One of the messages they will highlight this year is that ferry travel could
be the key to a better family life," the company said in a statement.
"Based on feedback from passengers, the company will place emphasis on the fact that parents are now looking to motoring holidays in increasing numbers."
