Irish Ferries has informed travellers planning to take ferries to France over the coming months that they can expect some 'Wilde nights' during their outbound and return sailings.
Passengers will be treated to all sorts of entertainment during the summer cabaret season on the Oscar Wilde cruise ferry.
The operator provides ferries from Rosslare to Roscoff and Cherbourg in northern France.
People travelling on the services over the summer will be able to see shows by a troupe of 14 entertainers including singers, musicians, dancers and a magician.
Due to run until mid-September, the programme will feature different performances on outbound and return crossings.
An early evening children's cabaret will be staged every night to entertain younger passengers, while a pianist and singers will play in Oscar's Piano Bar to add to the "cruise ferry" atmosphere.
Irish Ferries' services to Roscoff and Cherbourg provide access to the popular French holiday regions of Brittany and Normandy.
People travelling from mainland Britain can reach the areas by taking
ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre with
LD Lines or making use of
Brittany Ferries' services to St Malo, Cherbourg and Caen from Portsmouth.
