Irish Ferries will offer a special mini-cruise to France this year that could prove interesting to wine aficionados.
The themed journey will take place on the company's Rosslare to Cherbourg ferry route on the May bank holiday weekend, setting off from Ireland on April 30th.
Passengers will be able to meet 12 French winemakers during the crossing, who will offer advice and invite customers to sample some of their products.
Upon arrival in France, travellers will be able to take advantage of the exclusive wine discounts available through Irish Ferries.
The company has agreements in place with two outlets in Cherbourg and Roscoff, which allow passengers to receive discounts of up to 12.5 per cent when they show their booking confirmation.
People visiting Cherbourg should head to the Normandie Wine Warehouse to take advantage of the special offer.
Irish Ferries operates the Rosslare to Cherbourg and Roscoff ferry services using the Oscar Wilde, which it describes as "the most luxurious ship to sail between Rosslare and France".
