Irish Ferries has confirmed that its Holyhead to Dublin ferry crossing will be fully reinstated from February 27th.
Following fuel cost reductions, the company is able to reinstate morning sailings on its fast ferry Dublin Swift.
From February 27th,
Irish Ferries will provide two daily return ferry crossings between Holyhead and Dublin on Dublin Swift and two return journeys on the cruise ferry Ulysses.
The company also operates two return ferry crossings every day between Pembroke and Rosslare.
Declan Mescall, head of passenger sales for
Irish Ferries, said: "In these gloomy, recession-hit times we're pleased to have some good news.
"The return of twice-daily round-trip crossings with Dublin Swift means we're back in the number one position of offering the greatest frequency of fast ferry sailings on this route."
Irish Ferries recently launched a spring sale offering 50 per cent off the cost of its Ireland to France ferry crossings for people who travel between February 21st and May 14th.
