Irish Ferries has confirmed that its popular autumn mini-cruises to France will return this year.
The first of the special services will be available on the Rosslare to Cherbourg ferry route on September 1st, with further sailings scheduled up to December 20th.
Ferries from Rosslare to Roscoff in the Brittany region of northern France will be included in the programme.
Passengers will be carried on the five-star cruise ferry Oscar Wilde, which offers a range of accommodation options and facilities including the Merion Lounge, Cafe Lafayette, cabaret entertainment and wireless internet access.
Irish Ferries said that the mini-cruises will be ideal for wine lovers "anxious to get cracking on their Christmas shopping", with plenty of time available to visit warehouses and retail outlets in France in order to pick up some tasty food and drink at bargain prices.
As well as providing convenient links from Ireland to France, the company offers
ferries from Holyhead to Dublin for travellers interested in visiting the Irish capital.
Holidaymakers also have the option of taking
ferries from Pembroke to Rosslare to explore southern Ireland.
