Families planning a ferry break on the Isle of Wight over the coming weeks will have some ideal opportunities to celebrate Father's Day.
A number of special events will be taking place around the island, including an open day at Barton Manor on June 19th, featuring a range of stalls, a book store and a gift shop.
There will also be music from local bands, hot food and drinks to enjoy throughout the day.
Families planning to cross the Solent with
Wightlink for a weekend break next month can also pay a visit to Arreton Barns on Father's Day, which will be hosting a classic car show.
Those visiting during the forthcoming half-term break can head to Chessell Pottery, which will be inviting younger guests to make mugs, dinner plates and other items for their dads between May 31st and June 4th.
The Isle of Wight also boasts plenty of permanent attractions that are ideal for families, such as the historic Blackgang Chine amusement park and Alum Bay.
Wightlink provides access to the island with
ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and Ryde, as well as
ferries from Lymington to Yarmouth, while
Hovertravel operates a service between Southsea and Ryde.
