Britons may be inspired to book
ferries to the Isle of Wight after hearing what the destination has to offer.
The Isle of Wight Tourist Board described the location as a "small island that's big on attractions".
Holidaymakers can choose from more than 60 places to visit, despite the island being spread over an area of just 23 miles by 13 miles.
Fun parks, bird sanctuaries, festivals, carnivals, museums and outdoor events make the Isle of Wight ideal for both young and old.
"Wherever you go on the Isle of Wight you will see evidence of a fascinating past, going back to the time of the dinosaurs. Roman villas, medieval castles, historic houses and exhibitions reflect life in a bygone age," the tourism agency added.
"No holiday is complete without a visit to Queen Victoria's favourite seaside home, the magnificent Osborne House, given to the nation by King Edward VII."
