Jazz festival comes to Amsterdam |  | | | 06 August 2008 | Jazz fans are being urged to book their ferry tickets now for a spectacular music festival which is being held in Amsterdam next month, it has been reported.
The free event, named the Seven Bridges Festival, is held at a number of venues throughout the city and is one of the most popular music celebrations in the city.
Those visiting Amsterdam will have the chance to relax to the sounds of numerous musicians, according to What's On When.
Amsterdam is a popular holiday destination for British travellers thanks to its laid-back atmosphere, beautiful canals and spectacular architecture.
It also houses a number of historic churches and some important museums including the Anne Frank House - where the Jewish girl wrote her diary while hiding with her family from the Nazis - and the Van Gogh Museum.
The city's ferry port which opened back in 1876 is one of the largest in the country and can be accessed on a ferry from Newcastle. |
