Those thinking of taking a trip to the Netherlands who like a bit of Jazz might want to put the Breda Jazz festival in their calendar.
Fans catching ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam
can head southwards to the city and spend the (hopefully) long and sunny days between May 17th and 20th 2012 enjoying around 180 acts playing at 19 different venues.
Nearly all of these are free, which means the event can be enjoyed as part of a budget tour of the country, with Breda located in between the cities of Rotterdam and Eindhoven.
With so many different bands and acts, all fans should be able to find something they really enjoy.
Other events in the Netherlands this month include the National Windmill Days, with a large number of the buildings being opened to the public on various occasions, enabling visitors to see the historic cottage industry of milling in action.
