People planning to visit France this year can now catch fast
ferries from Dover to Boulogne with LD Lines.
The operator launched its new cross channel ferry service on June 6th and will offer four fast return crossings a day on the route.
Travellers will sail on the Norman Arrow, the largest fast ferry ever to operate a cross channel route between England and France.
The 112-metre wave-piercing catamaran can sail at such a speed to enable LD Lines to offer six return ferry crossings from Dover to Boulogne every day, an increase from the previous frequency of two daily sailings.
When the new service was announced earlier this year, LD Lines managing director Christophe Santoni said the company was "dramatically revolutionising ferry transport across the channel".
LD Lines offers a number of other options for travellers visiting France, with regular
ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre and from Dover to Dieppe.
