LD Lines has created a new 'landbridge' service that provides an additional option for people planning to take ferries to Spain from the UK.
Landbridge routes - which link together two separate ferry routes with a drive in-between - often work out cheaper than booking two single journeys and also provide more flexibility.
People heading to Spain can begin their journey by taking
ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre with
LD Lines, before driving to Saint-Nazaire in western France.
For the final leg of the trip, travellers will sail on the recently launched
Saint-Nazaire to Gijon ferry service, which is operated by
GLD Atlantique.
AFerry.co.uk is now offering secure online bookings with instant confirmation for customers interested in taking
landbridge ferries to Spain.
Those who would rather sail directly to their destination have the option of taking
ferries from Portsmouth to Santander with
Brittany Ferries, which also provides a number of routes to France from the UK and Ireland.
