Transmanche Ferries are the official maritime carriers for this event.
They are also sponsoring the International Kite Festival at Dieppe this autumn.
As well as supporting a range of cultural and sporting events, including horse-racing meetings on both sides of the Channel, they will be providing more travel options for aficionados of great competitive events such as the Le Mans 24 Hour Race.
Transmanche Ferries and LD Lines will be busy on many fronts.
Punctuality, consistency and reliability :
Dieppe-Newhaven in great shape
A total of 1135 lorries transported between 14 and 20 January 2008 - beating the previous Dieppe-Newhaven record
To meet the demands of freight transporters and British car passengers,
Transmanche Ferries has increased availability by 50% with a third rotation between Dieppe and Newhaven from 7 January. This is in direct response to increased demand from freight carriers and English visitors wishing to spend a day in France. The additional departure from France leaves at 12.30 for Newhaven.
The number of tourist car passengers increased by 7% last year. As a result of publicity campaigns launched in the French press and through the Brighton and Sussex Tourist Authorities, early indications show increasing numbers of French tourist passengers visiting Sussex in 2008.
Renovations are underway at Newhaven Terminal with improved facilities for foot and car passengers as well as freight drivers. A cafeteria offering snacks and hot drinks and toilet facilities with modern washrooms and showers are now all available under one roof for all our freight passengers.
