Mark Chinese New Year in Dublin |  | | | 24 November 2008 | People taking ferry trips to Dublin in January will see that December 31st is not the only date for an end-of-year party in the city as a number of activities are organised for the Chinese New Year festival.
This event will see film, art, theatre, literature and all other forms of Chinese culture celebrated at several locations across Dublin.
A number of key venues will be involved in the festival, including City Hall, Mansion House, the Irish Writers Centre, Smithfield Plaza and the Smithfield markets area.
The centre of the Chinese New Year festivities in Dublin will be Smithfield Square, where various events and activities will take place between January 22nd and 30th.
Another major event due to be held in Dublin next year is the Temple Bar Trad Festival, a celebration of traditional music that will be held from January 28th to February 1st.
Ferries to Dublin are provided by Norfolkline and P&O Ferries from Liverpool, while Stena Line sails to the Irish city from Holyhead. |
