People taking ferry trips to northern France over the next few months may want to pay a visit to Paris to see an exhibition at the National Museum of Natural History.
Until May 25th, the museum will host Incredible Cetaceans, an exhibition looking at the planet's largest marine mammals.
Featuring giant projections and sculptures, light displays and sound installations, the event enables visitors to learn all about whales, dolphins, porpoises and other marine creatures.
Unsurprisingly, the 30-metre-long, 150-tonne representation of a blue whale, which is one of 18 skeletons suspended from the ceiling in the exhibition, is the star of the show.
There are several institutions in Paris that people with an interest in natural history or anthropology may want to visit, such as the Museum of Man in the city's 16th arrondissement.
Ferry travellers can sail to a number of ports in northern France that offer easy access to Paris, such as Dunkerque, Calais or Le Havre, which are served by operators including Norfolkline, P&O Ferries and LD Lines.
