People with a passion for all things horticultural will be catching ferries to France next month to attend the Floralies Flower Show as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
The event will be held from May 8th to 19th at the Beaujoire Exhibition Centre in Nantes, the capital of the Pays de la Loire region of north-west France.
Some 200 of the top floral artists and landscape gardeners from around the world will attend this year's show, which will have a theme of 'pouvoir des fleurs', or 'the power of flowers'.
Highlights of the event will include the Floralies Deco area, which will showcase the latest trends in garden decoration, and the French Florists Cup, a contest to find the florist of the year.
Visitors will also be treated to daily entertainment in the form of dance parades, light shows, exhibitions and more.
Travellers can reach Nantes by catching
ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo or from Poole to Cherbourg with Brittany Ferries.
Condor Ferries also operates a route from Portsmouth to Cherbourg, while LD Lines offers
ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre.
