People planning ferry trips to northern France may find themselves tempted to explore the Paris Ile-de-France region after seeing a new advertising campaign launched by the French Government Tourist Office.
The campaign was unveiled this week in London and 12 other European cities with the goal of sparking an interest in discovering, or returning to, Paris Ile-de-France.
One of the main aspects of the promotion is the ease with which British holidaymakers can reach France via rail links or ferry crossings.
The campaign also showcases the Paris Ile-de-France region's architecture and atmosphere, which make it a "destination that is brimming with energy and cultural riches".
A number of cultural figures are involved in the initiative, including Patrick Blanc, an artist known for his work with natural materials, whose plant wall creation is currently on display at Paris' Quai Branly museum.
People planning ferry trips to northern France can sail to a number of ports that offer access to the Paris Ile-de-France region, including Le Havre, Dieppe and Calais.
