LD Lines is pleased to announce the launch of a new daily, summer ferry service on the English "central" Channel between Newhaven and Le Havre.
LD Lines launched its first route from the UK in October 2005 between the ports of Portsmouth and Le Havre. In March 2007, the Louis Dreyfus Group took over
Transmanche Ferries, which is now run as a sister company to LD Lines.
British customers continue to respond fantastically to the "value for money" ferry concept that LD Lines has established and it is clear that there is significant demand for the new route. The opening of this ferry service provides an innovative alternative route for British travellers to France.
Travellers can enjoy a relaxed trip across the English "central" Channel which provides a welcome alternative to the functional Dover Calais route. By leaving from Newhaven and arriving in Le Havre, drivers will avoid the usual traffic congestion at Dover and Calais. There are also significant time and fuel savings on a journey to the south of France or Spain, after just five relaxing hours aboard our luxurious modern ships.
Depart from Newhaven at 12:30, arrive in Le Havre at 18:30.
Depart from Le Havre at 20:00, arrive in Newhaven at 00:00.
