New-look service from Newcastle
DFDS Seaways offer UK - Norway SailingFollowing leading cruise ferry operator DFDS Seaways' acquisition of Fjord Line's m.s. FJORD NORWAY last week, DFDS Seaways announce scheduled sailings to Norway.
Early November will see the ship refitted so that the overall concept and onboard feel reflects the DFDS Seaways offering. The ship will be renamed at a ceremony in Bergen early November and will commence sailing to Western Norway from 9 November 2006.
There will be twice-weekly sailings which will increase to three weekly sailings in Summer 2007. Norway is proving a strong destination for UK holidaymakers and travellers, and research shows that Norway is the most attractive Scandinavian country for UK tourists.
DFDS Seaways Managing Director John Crummie comments: "We know that people in the UK have a strong interest in Norway and we look forward to providing a quality offering for people who can start their holiday the moment they step on board our ship.
"Norway is an exceptionally beautiful country with fantastic scenery and has a great offering of outdoor activities, sports, culture, entertainment and shopping attractions and fantastic scenery. It's an excellent destination for motoring holidays, short breaks and for trips all year round," comments Crummie.
