The Ski Club of Great Britain has informed travellers that there is still time to take a ski holiday in France or another European destination before the 2008-09 winter season comes to an end.
A number of major ski resorts will be open until April 26th, including Les Arcs, Avoriaz and Meribel.
Val d'Isere and Val Thorens, two of the leading destinations for ski holidays in France, will remain open until May 3rd, along with resorts such as Obergurgl and St Moritz elsewhere in Europe.
Al Morgan, information manager at the Ski Club of Great Britain, said: "This is definitely the year to make the most of the excellent snow conditions.
"Skiing in March and April offers long days for skiing, sunny terraces for leisurely lunches and less people than the busy periods. Get out there if you can!"
People planning late-season ski breaks can choose from a number of cross channel ferry services to start their trip, including the P&O Ferries crossing from Dover to Calais and the LD Lines link from Portsmouth to Le Havre.
Dover ferry port announced in February that demand for ski holidays led to a "massive rise" in passenger numbers over the school half-term period.
