P&O Ferries was among the companies honoured at the 2010 Group Leisure Awards ceremony, which took place at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham this week.
Described by organisers as "one of the biggest nights of the year for the group travel industry", the event gives out awards based on votes cast by readers of the Group Leisure magazine and website.
P&O picked up the top accolade in the category covering the leading ferry operators for groups.
The company provides a range of services, including regular crossings on the
Dover to Calais ferry route, which is also served by
SeaFrance.
Other winners on the night included Destination Staffordshire and the Drayton Manor theme park, which were voted the best tourist board and leading UK attraction for children respectively.
Bournemouth was named the top UK resort for groups, while London won the best UK city award and Buckingham Palace topped the category covering the UK's most popular attractions.
P&O also provides
ferries from Hull to Rotterdam for holidaymakers heading to Europe, while those planning a break in Ireland can take
ferries from Liverpool to Dublin with the operator.
