P&O Ferries was among the biggest winners at this year's British Travel Awards ceremony, which took place in London last week.
The company was voted the leading cross channel ferry operator ahead of
Brittany Ferries and picked up the award for the best short sea carrier, with
Stena Line in second place.
P&O Ferries also received the overall ferry company of the year accolade.
Both travel professionals and members of the public submit votes for the British Travel Awards, which is the largest awards programme in the UK.
Holidaymakers can make use of the Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry service provided by P&O Ferries to visit Barcelona, which was voted the leading city break destination this year ahead of Paris.
Cornwall was named the leading UK holiday destination at this year's awards ceremony, with London in second place.
Italy picked up the silver award in the category covering British travellers' favourite country to visit.
In addition to its Bilbao service, P&O Ferries operates a Liverpool to Dublin ferry service and a
Dover to Calais ferry route, among others.
